HP

Connecting Quality, Safety, and Bioinformatics

Researchers from HP Labs and physicians at Packard Children’s collaborated to develop a real-time patient status system that prompted a change in care in one out of three patient encounters.

The Patient-Centered Dashboard uses data from electronic medical records to better represent patient status, replacing the handwritten whiteboards currently found in many hospital nursing units. The system uses stop-light imagery to visually alert physicians and nurses to potential complications, so that teams can provide more efficient and effective care. The dashboard is designed to be usable in other hospitals in the United States and around the world.

Hyundai

Closer to a Cure

Packard Children’s is a proud participant in Hyundai’s national Hope on Wheels program. Thanks to Hyundai’s commitment to research, physicians and researchers at Packard Children’s are leading the charge against pediatric cancer.

Packard Children’s recently hosted an event celebrating Hyundai’s generous donation and to highlight some of our current research efforts.
