Kohl’s Cares
Promoting Child Safety
Next time you’re shopping at a Kohl’s store in the Bay Area, look for the Kohl’s Cares® sign. Proceeds from the purchase of select books and plush characters benefit the Kohl’s Child Safety and Outreach Program at Packard Children’s, providing car, bike, and pedestrian safety education at the Hospital and at health fairs and community events across the South Bay and Peninsula. During the year Packard Children’s also spreads safety messages to the community through a mix of media including print, radio and outdoor billboards.

Stanford Federal Credit Union
Crediting the Community
Stanford Federal Credit Union (SFCU) supports Packard Children’s through the “You Switch, We Donate, Kids Win” campaign by making a generous donation to Packard Children’s when Hospital employees, volunteers, donors, and Auxiliary members move their banking to SFCU. This offer was promoted through a variety of channels including internally-distributed e-newsletters and donor publications sent to 18,000 households.

Spirit Halloween
Scaring Up Support for Packard
Every year Spirit Halloween, the largest seasonal Halloween retailer in the country, brings fun and funding to Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital through the Spirit of Children program. Centered on a “10 for 10” coupon and point-of-sale donations, shoppers can purchase their costume while supporting a good cause – they enjoy 10% off their purchase and 10% is donated back to LPCH. Using social media to connect with our ever-expanding donor base has led to increased awareness of Spirit Halloween and strong support for Packard. Since 2007, the support Packard receives from the program has more than tripled.
