Circle of Friends

Circle of Friends strives to inspire a connection to Packard Children’s and to encourage a spirit of giving among its members by providing unique opportunities for involvement with the Hospital, including volunteer opportunities, Hospital tours, community events, and personal philanthropy.

Founded in 2007, Circle of Friends is made up of over 150 members. The group raised over $160,000 in annual gifts in 2010 with $135,000 of that directed to the Lucile Packard Children’s Fund, which helps meet the Hospital’s most pressing needs each year.

To connect its members and the community with the Hospital in meaningful ways, Circle of Friends hosts events such as the annual Lunch and Learn featuring a prominent speaker, evening cocktail receptions, and holiday activities for children. Some members volunteer at the Hospital by stocking candy jars or assisting at musical performances.

Circle of Friends welcomes anyone to join. Membership requires an annual donation to the Children’s Fund. For those looking to be more involved, Circle of Friends offers tours, events, and volunteer opportunities to see first-hand the amazing care provided at Packard Children’s every day.
