Clinical Care & Community Outreach

On an average day at Packard Children’s Hospital,

  • One child undergoes life-saving heart surgery
  • 14 babies are welcomed into the world
  • 30 children enjoy just being kids in the Forever Young Zone playroom
  • 33 patients receive child-friendly emergency care in the pediatric ER
  • 50 students stay on academic track by attending the Hospital School
  • 368 patients visit the outpatient clinics to stay healthy

Why support clinical care and outreach?

Every day, Packard helps children with serious illnesses beat the odds and thrive in the face of incredible challenges. Many of our young patients have needs that extend beyond medical care, so the Hospital is home to a wide variety of support programs that give comfort to families and patients alike. Packard Children’s also supports programs that reach beyond its walls to raise awareness and provide much-needed services in the local community.

"Together we have built a top children's hospital. Now we must ensure that our community's children have access to our care today, while we advance the care available to all children for years to come."
