State-of-the-Art Facilities

The expansion will feature:

  • More than 100 new beds, making individual patient rooms the new standard
    of care.
  • New surgical, diagnostic, and treatment rooms incorporating state-of-the-art equipment and technology.
  • A child-friendly environment in which patients can heal and grow.
  • Sustainable design elements that push the envelope for environmental stewardship in the health care arena.

Why a building?

  • As medical technology rapidly advances, more space is necessary to host sophisticated equipment.
  • Providing the highest standard of family-centered care means adding private patient rooms, to allow for families to be a part of their child’s healing process.
  • Modern facilities will ensure that no child in our community is turned away for lack of space.

Your gift could be matched

In a remarkable commitment, The David and Lucile Packard Foundation has designated $50 million as a challenge to the philanthropic community to invest in the expansion of Packard Children’s Hospital. Find out more about this opportunity to increase the value of your gift.

“Capacity is the key issue here. In 2008 alone, Packard Children’s was forced to turn away more than 300 patients due to lack of space. We're looking forward to a larger facility, so we can provide the best care to all children who need it.”
